Yeah, there's definitely one in particular.

Michael Woods, he was my coach when I was in Colts in senior footy.

Like I said, my first coach that I had when I was 17, 18, 19, playing senior footy.

And he invested in attitude.

That was his approach to who we would pick for the team.

And so what he cared about was my attitude and how I took to running on the field and how I ran alongside the guys I played alongside and whether or not I was a team player, whether or not I was a good person.

That is what he held true to.

And, you know, I was on a scholarship when I first started playing for North with Melbourne Storm and then dropped that scholarship as I left school.

But there are a lot of players who at Norths at the time where I was playing were on contract with Melbourne, but he would only put forward the team he thought would be full of good people, good attitude.

You know, I saw this comedian the other day talking about how men never give up the dream of being a professional athlete, no matter how old they get.

It's not too late.

And I was like, this actually kind of hits home, right?

Because I wanted to be a professional, especially when I got that scholarship kind of contract when I was 16.

I thought, you know, I'm going to play NRL one day.

Then I realized that so many other people got one and it was really hard.

And then I was like, oh, I don't know if I have what it takes.

And then I started doing CrossFit and I was like, oh, maybe I can push ahead with that.

And then, you know, just wasn't fit enough.

Same with footy.

I wasn't good enough.
