So when you are knowledgeable about the sport or it's your background, then people understand that you understand the sport, right?
And so they feel you're automatically more invested as a result of that.
And that's a positive thing.
And I suppose for me, I will have to work hard to try and earn the trust of the cricket community and show that I am invested and that I care about what they would see as their sport, perhaps not mine.
Whereas you kind of have a little bit of a buy on that when it's from your background and your sport.
But the other side of it is then you have...
Close relationships across the community.
People probably expect more from you in certain ways.
And that also can be challenging.
And then decisions perhaps become more personal.
And that's sometimes the biggest challenge is when you work in sport is the fact that it's so personal to so many people.
They care so much about it that when you make decisions that impact on them, they take them personally and there's no point trying to tell them not to.
But from your perspective, you know, you're trying to make a decision maybe in the best interest of the organisation or a particular facet of the organisation.
So it can be really challenging then if your own community doesn't appreciate it and then it starts to become more personal.
So pros and cons.

because we will have to play test games in 2029.
And I think we're hoping England will come in 2029 to help us do that.
So there's actually quite a strict timeline around this.
