That's not it, but it's making sure all of us, men, women, whatever we are, are remaining within our professional boundaries at all times so that when someone steps out of that, we can address it and talk about it.
My mum was a single mum, had always been since I was born.
So it was just the two of us.
Yeah, that definitely made her vulnerable because I think too, you know, we came from a family where you put a lot of trust in people, especially when they're in positions like being a teacher or, you know, those occupations that generally are,
you know, held quite high in society.
Yeah, I think the big thing for me was...
it was really that emotional connection that I got with him that I, I latched onto.
Cause as I said, my mom is, is sort of, she struggles, I think to emotionally connect.
And I did feel a little bit of divide in that way with my mom.
Like she was at everything.
So supportive and things like that, but just not the type of person you can probably talk to about, you know, really big problems and things like that.
And yeah,
He really showed an interest and wanted to talk to me about my life and how I felt about things.
And, you know, it was just, I suppose, the amount of time that he was spending with me was just so unusual.
He was like, you know...
offering to help me do assignments on the weekend and things like that.
Like, mum actually drove me to his house.
She waited in the car in his driveway.
She didn't leave me there.
But, you know, just the fact that I was going to a teacher's house on the weekend so that he could help me with an assignment, like, really, teachers have enough on their plate that no one wants to actually spend their weekend with a student either.
