And she thought that if she pushed things too far, you know, I'd never talk to her again.
And, you know, so I think for her it was sort of like she'll manage it, you know, closely, you know, she can remain in my life and make sure I'm okay.
Yeah, so he ended up getting transferred to a school in Brisbane.
I think it was the June-July holidays of when I was in year 11.
But obviously we remained in contact.
He was still visiting me.
I'd still see him.
And he was very much in my ear about moving to Brisbane as well.
He actually told me that he had connections with the teachers of QDSC, which was like a full-time dance program at a high school in Brisbane, which, you know, for me, I wanted to do dance as a career.
And he said that he'd be able to get me into that program, which would have been huge for me to do dance full-time at that age.
Yeah.
So I really got in my head.
I didn't even talk to mum.
I didn't talk to anyone about it, but I just, for me, I was like, yep, I'm going to do this.
Next holidays, I'm leaving.
And I remember telling mum, I think at the start of, or just before the September school holidays of that year, I'm like, I want to move to Brisbane.
Can you please ask your, because mum's twin sister lived in Brisbane.
You need to ask her if I can live with her.
And mum, I think, just was so scared of losing me.
If she really put her foot down about it, she was like, okay.
