I imagine you were thinking, am I going to lose my finger?
That's so good to hear because when the moment changed and you were able to move into actual Taylor and be like, I'm really freaking out, guys.
I'm in pain and I'm very, obviously very, very scared that I'm going to lose a finger and people understood the serious nature.
It's an adjustment for them as well because everyone's there to do a job and they're thinking this is great.
great, this is such a great cross.
To suddenly realise we're actually dealing with quite a serious situation.
Absolutely.
They were able to get their heads around that very quickly by the sound of it.
How is it then today?
So you were showing the scars.
That's the aspect to these moments that people see on TikTok or on YouTube or on the Today Show and they go, oh, they're so funny and they're talking about it, but not always reflecting on what's actually happened once the camera stopped and there's somebody in a lot of pain dealing with a lot of anxiety.
Yeah.
This has happened in other situations.
I know Ali Langdon, for example, who you've worked with.
She had an incident where she was doing a live cross on the Gold Coast quite a few years ago on the Today Show and ended up with quite a bad knee injury.
But everyone was sort of laughing along with obviously not realising that it was quite serious.
And now from the stories you've heard, you understand that it wasn't something to muck around with at all.
Because even as you've been talking, Taylor, I could tell how composed you'd remained on camera.
But to now understand that
the fact that you did go back on and do the last cross to let the audience know that you were okay, the fact that you didn't go straight to hospital is quite astounding to hear the pain that you're in.
