What do you think those conversations look like within the AFL and how might they move forward?
We'd like to think, I think, as a society that we've come really far, and we have undoubtedly come really far when it comes to mental health, generally speaking, recognising that we need to take care of it, you know, the role that employers and workplaces have in assisting their employees with their own mental health.
But do you think this just shows that especially among men, especially among professional sporting players,
we are still kind of in that space of she'll be right, mate.
You know, the players, generally speaking, maybe didn't speak up because they're like, oh, well, you know, who do I raise this with?
How do I make this known to club officials?
Was it, oh, he'll be right.
We'll just keep playing.
You know, do you think this exposes that that culture is still well and truly alive within Australian sport?
