um now being the spokesperson for a group of people that told me i wasn't valid to represent them i am now get you yeah it's pretty funny yeah it's ironic isn't it it is fun yeah it's strange when the bottom is like oh sister you did good yeah would you have said that to me a while ago

go yeah they're very um it's it's very strange feeling i totally relate to that it was strange like i had to actually just shed that you know that history and that trauma same and let that go and receive like oh when i got to go back home for hawaii pride it was honolulu pride yeah

There were so many people there.

I bet a lot of the concerts there at the Shell.

And seeing so many generations there, like seeing the old gray hair kupunas and aunties and all the kids and just seeing, they would be proud of little old me, the mahu.
