Now, perhaps the suggestion of him being the leading candidate or front runner or being a shoo-in for the job might have been slightly premature, but make no doubt about it.
Initially, this was real.
I mean, guys like Freeman don't report this stuff if they don't have it legitimately.
And in the National Hockey League, you don't fly guys in and sit down with them for hours if all you're doing is exploring certain ideas or whatever.
It's a serious conversation being had.
And apparently, by all accounts, Pierre Dorian showed up prepared, had great ideas, and he did impress the organization.
I'm not going to sit here and say that Canuck fans prevented Pyrrha Dorian from becoming the fan, but I'm also not going to sit here and say that they did not prevent Pyrrha Dorian from becoming the next GM.
It's not all done yet.
He's still in the mix to some degree now, perhaps maybe not as much as it was assumed a few days ago.
