That could certainly play a big part into it.
And I think one thing we talked about yesterday, but I think it bears repeating,
in light of all the talk around Brendan Gallagher, I don't think the Canucks have an appetite to take on a big contract or a big number unless they're moving something out.
And I don't think it's just because of the monetary side of things.
I think it's also because the roster spot of it.
And also, you're being smart about the money.
You get the money out.
You bring another big salary in.
You're okay with doing that if you can flip that player and it allows other guys to compete for spots.
But you can't be in a position where you're keeping all the veteran forwards.
You're adding a couple of veteran players.
Plus, you want to have opportunities for the young guys to get spots.
they still have to move a veteran or two out if they're going to be making additions like Brendan Gallagher or going after somebody else.
So I think that part of...
a trade happening, or the Canucks going out and acquiring someone like Brendan Gallagher, I think that would necessitate that they move somebody out first before exploring that idea.
Well, it's interesting because you go through the Sens prospects and they have a Pedersen.

There's Oscar Pedersen.
He was a third-round pick in 2022.
He's a center prospect.
