It doesn't mean he is the favorite.
It didn't mean that he was going to necessarily get the job 100%, but a legitimate candidate that's up for the job.
Now, it really... All hell broke loose today after Greg Wyshynski went on Halford & Brough, and he said that he thinks that Dorian is going to be named the GM.
A lot of talk around the league kind of percolating around the fact that Dorian is going to be the guy.
And man, oh man, the Canuck Nation come...
together in a unified voice and scream and take out the pitchforks and just absolutely lose their minds over the fact that potentially Pierre Dorian was going to be the general manager of the team.
Now, a lot of reporting since then has kind of downplayed the possibility as much as Dorian is a finalist, as much as he is in consideration.
Gary Mason, Irfan Ghaffar, both are kind of mentioning that he's in the mix, but maybe not the frontrunner people thought he would be.
The question is, the Canuck Nation scream and yell loud enough to change the minds of the organization in terms of naming Pierre Dorian the general manager.
We're not going to know this until a final decision is made, but some of the concern seems to be at least turned down a notch or two based on the reporting that perhaps as much as he's in the mix, he may not be the guy who ends up getting the job.

How long ago was that?
This morning?
This morning, yes.
Today's been the longest month of the year.
Well, instead of just having PTSD about draft lottery luck not going your way, now you have the existential dread.
Yeah, I mean, listen, I think ultimately there's always going to be nervousness within Canuck Nation and Canuck fans when it comes to what's going to happen next.
And I think there's enough questions about how this process is going to be finalized that until we see who the GM is and it's not Pierre Dorian, I think there will be some level of fear, perhaps, or some level of cynicism around it.
