When you're interviewing people, they're also interviewing you.
So let's say there's a candidate they're interviewing and the team is, again, hypothetically, they're interested in this candidate.
But that candidate is somewhat lukewarm on the situation.
But what if the Canucks win the lottery?
Does that person feel a little bit differently about the situation?
So I think you can look at it both ways.
One is you can get your team in place and you can kind of be ready to go as soon as the lottery hits and you know what you're doing.
Or it can also be viewed as a situation where does it make your overall situation a bit more appealing if you do end up winning the lottery?
Sure, but we don't know that yet.
And again, like, it's a 55% chance they pick third.
There's also a 45% chance they don't.
It's not quite 50-50, but, you know, it's not the same as... Like, before, when the Canucks had, like, the, you know, third or fourth best odds, and they had...
three lottery positions, your chance of getting a top three pick was like 30%.
It was like 60 some percent chance you're going to be picking later on.
That was a lot more assured.
Like this is like, it's a lot closer than I think people understand in terms of getting a top two pick.
It's almost like they have the best odds.
And you know, and it's only two lotteries, not three.
