Looking up the yellow pages, again, it was pre-internet. So I like highlighted all the addresses of rental condos around Lake Travis. I convinced three friends to come with me. So I'd start dropping, I started dropping my spoon every morning.

Keep sending me music or, you know, and then at one point I got this, um, letter from a guy in Nashville and he goes, Hey kid, I really like your tape. I can make you a star. If you pay me $3,000, I'll make proper studio recordings for the demo and you could perform at a showcase at the wild horse saloon in Nashville and I'll publish your songs. Wow. I was like, oh my gosh.
