Yeah.
Well, they had had an active shooter drill three weeks before the tragedy.
And, uh...
You know, being a parent that just, you know, I had a full-time job and I just assumed that when my child was at school that it was their responsibility.
And I remember one evening right before he was shot, he came into the dining room after we'd had dinner and I'm sitting with my mom having a glass of wine.
He comes up behind me and he says,
Mom, what would I do if a school shooter came into the school?
And I mean, never thinking that it would ever happen to me, obviously, because those things don't happen to people like me.
I remember sitting there swirling my glass.
I looked over my shoulder and I said, run zigzag.
