Yeah, Hollywood style fucking going out there, fucking patrol, long range patrols.

Like we did a couple of vehicle jobs and we did a couple like of like 20K infills, like big ones.

And like on one of them-

My TL, we like went halfway in the Afghan Green Rangers and we were all sitting in the tray of the car because they're like, there's IEDs all through this road.

The TL sat in the front seat and was like, well, if we hit an IED, I'll die, but you guys will just get blown out the back.

And we drove for 10Ks on this dusty road through Taliban-held territory to save ourselves walking 20Ks, so we only had to walk 10Ks.

And I was just thinking the whole time, like you're literally like, it's probably the first time I was just like waiting to die, you know, like.

I was like, you know, the feeling.

Yeah, of course.

I'm trying not to think about it.

Yeah.

I'm trying to focus on my job, but like every bump you're like cringe, you know, and you know, you're going to get like bucked off a horse.

Like it blows up the front of the car and everyone inside dies and you just get flung off.

And that we've seen that happen to countless dudes.
