Here's best case scenario for me.

Best case scenario for me is the Leafs are hung up on the fact that they have so many leaks after that athletic article, and they are just feeding us bullshit to try to figure out who those leaks are and also just distract us.

And the person they hire is like good.

and not one of the names that they've been throwing out.

Worst case scenario is all the information we have is true, and they're hiring, let's call it what it is, one of the most notorious snake oil salesmen in the sport.

This is just the broke version of the conversation we had when the Leafs got Brad for a living.

Right?

So he does the job that he does in Calgary, did some good things, did some not so good things.

And when the Leafs got him, Flames fans were like, oh, buyer beware, watch out for this guy.

And we're like, yeah, but he wasn't allowed to do the things that he wanted to do.

He wasn't allowed to fire his coach, meddling ownership, meddling president.

Sounds very familiar.

He stepped right back into possibly a worse version of it, to be honest.

And then, oh, hey...

He got to live life without a boss.

And it turns out it was worse.

And then it led to him having more life without a boss because he wasn't employed anymore.
