Yeah, I think there's two different styles there.
We know Kimi's more aggressive.
We know Kimi is much happier kind of dancing a car on the edge.
And that seemed to be the best tactic around Monaco.
The tyre preparation this weekend was absolutely critical.
It was really difficult to get the fronts fired up because there's a low energy circuit.
So that's why you were seeing two preparation laps because if you start the lap...
With cold front tires, you lose a ton of time up from Sandoval all the way up the hill.
That's what McLaren, the problem McLaren had on Friday.
This was their big issue.
And all the time you lose, you don't get back later on.
But then you also need to not kill the rears as well.
So you're kind of balancing between these two things.
you're then doing in qualifying where you've got the influence of traffic so what you think in your head is the best way to approach your preparation laps you've then got to react and respond based on do you backed off in a corner that you should have been accelerating out to get heat into your rear tires how all that's elements was it was a clear judge and kim is more aggressive style the happiness to be on the edge with micro slides and all those elements were perfect and
George, we know, he's got a bit, I think you've mentioned in pieces on the web about a bit of the Piastri thing that doesn't like things on the low grip, isn't so happy when the car's sliding around a bit more and is underneath him.
We saw this exposed in Miami, and it was towards the end of the Miami race where they kind of pulled back on the sliding.
Because if you start sliding, the danger then is if you do it too much, you overheat the tires and then you fall off the other window.
So tiny, tiny style differences.
But on weekends like this, they can make all the difference.
Team mistake.
