And one of the things he said in that press conference that stuck out to me is he said,
This team doesn't know how to deal with inflection points yet.
This team doesn't know how to, and now I'm sort of paraphrasing, this team doesn't know how to take a 10-point lead and make it 15.
This team doesn't know how to make that stop at the end of the first half so we go in up 9 instead of up 6.
And those are the things that are holding this team back from feeling like a 15-1 team.

The frustration is that this team has 15-1, but somehow it doesn't feel like it, right?
And I think that's because there are all these things we expect of a dominant Duke team that this group isn't doing.
And one of those things is putting teams away.
Getting up 12 at home in Cameron against a team missing their best player.
Turn that to 20.
Get Cameron going nuts.
Make SMU call that timeout when Cameron is so loud you can't think.
That didn't happen yesterday.
And it felt like it should.
It felt like the momentum was going our way.
It felt like we had turned a corner.
But that last switch wasn't getting flipped.
And there are a lot of potential reasons as to why that's happening.
I think John Shire is very aware of that and trying to figure that out.
