Part of that is the slow starts as well.
When you're playing from down 11 to start, you're always in a little bit of a hole.
Even when you tie it up after four or five minutes, that is something that sticks with you the rest of that game.
That is the biggest large-scale point of concern for me.
When is this team going to put teams away?
When is this team going to win games comfortably that they've played like a team that is the dominant better team for a vast majority of the contest?
It's interesting that Cam was the one who said that in the postgame because I think a lot of that does actually fall on his shoulders.
And it's rare that we've talked about Cam Boozer in the bad section of this podcast.
But I want to mention something that I think just sticks out like a sore thumb in the box score.
The entire game yesterday, Cam Boozer attempted five two-point field goals.
Cameron Boozer, the bully, the National Player of the Year, who can get whatever he wants in the paint, took five two-point field goals the entire game.
Yes, he got to the line, he shot seven free throws, so he was attacking in that way.
But that's settling.
And if Cam Boozer is the alpha of this team...
putting teams away falls on his shoulders.
When Duke's up 10, Cam Boozer should be saying, give me the MF and ball.
I have a matchup, and I'm going to take him one-on-one, and I'm going to make that play that's going to sand Cameron into a tizzy.
It is not okay for the best player in the country to be taking just five two-point field goals.
He shot well from beyond the arc.
