He was two for four.
His shooting from deep has been great.
He is settling too much for being that perimeter pick-and-pop big rather than being the dominant force that is Duke's put-away tool when we need him to be.
That's something that I think when this team goes into the film session, they're going to say, Cam, we needed you here.
We needed you to take on the offensive load and put this team away.
One last point on Cam before we move on.
The thing that irked me the most about those four turnovers was not that they were not turnovers of attacking.
They were turnovers of trying to pass up a great shot for a perfect shot.
They were more often than not, Cam having the ball in good position for himself, seeing a guy open for three sort of cross court, one of those sort of 50-50 passes.
There are players that should make those 50-50 passes.
There are players who should give up that good shot for the chance of the great shot.
Cam Boozer is not one of those guys.
If Cam Boozer's in position, Cam Boozer should be taking that shot, period, end of sentence.
I think that is something that is a natural part of freshman progression.
You know, we saw that with Cooper Flagg a little bit last year too, right?
Part of why his scoring average was on such an upward trajectory throughout the season was he started looking for himself a little bit more and facilitating a little bit less.
Lest we forget, it's only January 10th, or yesterday was January 10th.
It's still relatively early in the season.
There's still plenty of time for Cam to adjust to that element of the college game.
