And so we have to make sure that basic income exists as this other form of income to make this possible.
Yeah, so I can just kind of refer a little bit to the plan that I designed for Mike Breuer because it is an emergency basic income plan that... Remind people of context there too.
Yeah, Mike Breuer is running for senator against Mitch McConnell in Kentucky.
this is an opportunity for Kentucky to finally fire Mitch McConnell.
And Mike Breuer is one of their choices to replace him with.
And he came to me to design his UBI policy.
And so his UBI policy that we launched a couple weeks ago is a $2,000 per month base income per adult and a $1,000 per month amount per child
um, immediately for the duration of the crisis.
And you're also seeing that a lot in other bills too, is this recurring month, recurring amount for the duration of the crisis.
And then of course the duration is, is, can be defined differently.
But, um,
For Mike, that transitions to a $1,200 per month per adult and $400 per kid amount.
And that is funded, a 10% VAT would kick in at that point to be part of this permanent UBI plan.
And also tax reform, eliminating most of those tax expenditures that I mentioned previously.
So that would go from a

I think Mike's plan is actually, it's more similar to Rashida Tlaib, their plan, and Pramila Jayapal's plan that they sponsored.
And so that is a $2,000 per month for everyone
for the duration, at least for the duration of the pandemic, and then going to $1,000 per month for a year afterwards to effectively function as like a stimulus payment.
And that's pretty much as close as it gets to Mike's because it's fully universal.
