So they founded this Cistercian order by Bernard, who founded the first daughter abbey, the second Cistercian abbey in 1115 at Clairvaux, hence Bernard of Clairvaux.
And by the time he died in 1153,
They had founded over 300 Cistercian abbeys in his lifetime.
And by the time, and when I was doing the research, I also learned that the Templars were also Cistercian.
They were Cistercian monks just like Bernard.
The only difference was they carried the swords.
They were allowed to eat meat and protein for fighting in the war.
crusades and other battles, but they were Cistercian monks.
And so by going to Gotland, I learned about the Cistercians and it went right to the Templars.
And I was criticized for that.
A lot of people said, oh, isn't that precious?
The Knights Templar, everybody goes to the Knights Templar.
