So the gripping kind of emotional hook of him, you know, laying it out on the table in the start and then the messaging in the end was really cool.
But also
Like he's such a legend around sort of Hamilton circles and everyone is kind of just like proud of him sharing his story.
So like finding more of those people who have these epic stories and lives, but haven't really shared them before.
There's kind of, if you've listened to the episode, it kind of, it's quite interesting.
Like we tell her life story, but throughout it is this chat about speaking te reo.
And I sort of insert myself and talk about, you know, how I reflected on her coming down initially.
And, you know, I use the word intimidated, which is all she doesn't want to be.
Because her story is she didn't have MΔori growing up and she sort of taught herself as an adult and
now has raised all of her family and kids.
But, you know, she knows what it's like to be that person.
She was that person.
And so the thing she wants the least is for others to feel that same way.
And I kind of said, I mean, it was the truth because I knew how good she was in the space that I had that feeling inside of me.
And as we worked through the episode, I kind of like unpacked it and was like, well, why is that?
And it's the same, you know, whenever we do emceeing stuff, I always get you to do the moldy stuff because I'm not that confident with it.
And kind of like understanding, well, the reason I feel that way is because I don't feel like I've done enough.
Now that we have this platform, I feel like there's more of a responsibility to get it right.
And I haven't done the work to get it right.
So there's kind of this sort of pressure I'm putting on myself.
