of the Between Two Beers podcast. How are we doing today, Shay? Bit of a rollercoaster day, isn't it? A lot of little ups and downs and peaks and troughs. But that's what a day earlier than usual recording of Ambassadors can do to you. Because we are recording this outside of our normal window.
Seamus Marten 1:35
Yeah. Taking the listeners behind the curtain.
Steven Holloway 1:38
So to speak. Can I just pick up a point that I saw this morning, which has been bugging me all day, which is a bicycle in the hallway and a message that you sent in our staff chat to say, Shah, you can use my car park this morning. Yeah. Did you not drive? I had a bit of a morning. Okay.
Seamus Marten 1:55
And I've been a bit unwell. You've done three in the first 30 seconds. Yeah. Oh, been. I've been a bit unwell. Sorry. Maybe my brain hasn't quite been working right. Did I say it again? Just starting. No, no, no, no. We'll stick with it. The listeners love this. Do they?
Steven Holloway 2:19
You have been.
Seamus Marten 2:21
So I went to the gym this morning. I saw you at the gym. Yeah. Bright and early.
Steven Holloway 2:24
You threw your towel in my face and that really, that probably set me off on the wrong step today.
Seamus Marten 2:28
Yeah, maybe it did. I... I forgot my tog. I like to go for a swim after the mobility work. I forgot my togs. So I couldn't go for a swim in the pool. Pissed off. And I'm driving home.
Steven Holloway 2:37
Why didn't you just wear the shorts you were wearing in the gym?
Seamus Marten 2:38
Because then I'd have no shorts to wear when I got out of the pool. And then I'd have to walk out of the gym with a towel around my waist.

How did the hosts prepare for the All Whites fan show?

Seamus Marten 2:44
I've seen plenty of people do that before. No, I didn't think it was appropriate. Plenty of people. And I was like, sort of basketball shorts. Anyway, I decided not to and that annoyed me. So then I went to fill up the car. with petrol at the pump. And for context, we've recently purchased a new vehicle. And we now have two Kia Sorentos. And they take different petrol. One of them is diesel, and one of them is premium, 95. Oh, please tell me. And so I have filled up the car with the wrong petrol. Which car? I've put the premium 95 into the diesel. So this is the older Sorento. Right. And then I've driven it home. And then that's been fine. There's been no sign of issue until I went in and sort of did the morning routine with the kids.
Seamus Marten 3:33
And then I've started the car and it started sort of like... bubbling a little bit. It's just kind of like stuttering. I was like, oh shit, the car's got some issues. And anyway, I push on and I reverse out and I get down the street and I turn the corner. And I'm thinking, why is the car? Oh, shit, I'm going to take the car in. Some issues with it. And then I get down to the end of the street, and I'm like, ugh.
