Given that Reddit is on the internet and everyone there is a stranger, we don't have the people who posted these things who actually read their posts.
So we have our colleagues on the Smart Money team to read them for us.
Here's the first one read by marketing guru Cody Goff.
What being rich means is so subjective.
I think a lot of folks imagine there's a dollar amount.
But to me, it's really the ability to just live my life without being too concerned about how much I have in my bank account.
I know my expenses are covered.
I'm buying the fancy baguette at the grocery store.
I'm not worried that it's $5.
So that's what being rich means to me is just having options and flexibility and a real lack of stress about finances.
Yeah, a lot of people get caught up on a certain dollar amount, like how much money they might be earning in a year.
And they assume that you need to make six figures to be rich.
And I think a lot of folks know that six figures won't go as far as it did even a few years ago.
And the median income in the U.S.
is just $84,000, according to the U.S.
Census.
And that was in 2024.
