It's really, it's not my creeds.
When I come to this office to do this work, it's not my creeds that I bring to the work.
It's my values, love, faith.
justice-making, truth-telling, empathy, centering the poor.
And guess what?
Those are values that are resonant in all of the great faith traditions and people of moral courage who claim no faith at all.
And the covenant we have with one another is that we ought to be able to engage in that conversation in a respectful way and hopefully create something that I think looks like the kingdom of God, a country that's big enough to embrace all of our children.
Vance is perhaps the most craven politician in the American landscape.
We've seen a lot of folks, you know, doing about faiths on Donald Trump, but with him, it's striking.
Here's a man who called Donald Trump America's Hitler.
And then he spent a lot of time a few years later literally campaigning, not just for a Senate seat, but campaigning to an audience of one to become his running mate.
And he's just deeply craven.
And it's hard to know really what his moral center is and what is he driven by.
In some ways, he's scarier than Donald Trump.
I think it's interesting.
He's on a tour, you know, talking about his faith.
