Well, for me, it's that I believe everyone should get a fair go.
Everyone should be respected.
So respect and fair go, they're the values that are being violated.
That's why I feel so strongly.
It's not self-doubt.
It's not insecurity.
It's just that a value was violated.
When you see it that way, it's a little bit more objective.
And then you can take steps to address it.
You can speak to the person, hey, when you cut me off, I felt like my voice didn't matter and I'd love to be part of a team or a community where people respect each other and where everyone's voice is valued.
What can we do to get there?
See how it's not, I felt insecure
and I didn't like it and you need to change.
It gives you an avenue to address something and to take an action.
And so when we're talking about adaptability, a big part of that is recognizing the role that emotions are playing and how we can start to see them as data, unpack the real reason that they're there and acknowledge they're not just all a reflection of insecurity and worry and fear and I'm not enough.
There is something that it's telling us and we can choose what we do with that information.
when they cut you off?
Which then brings us back to that wasiati concept, right?
Curiosity.
Like what you see is not all there is.
