You look at the players and I still think they're good enough.

I just think the pressure was too much for them.

When you haven't qualified for two World Cups in a row and you've gone to penalties, I never fancied Italy to go through.

Just because of the pressure and how much it really means to the Italian fans and the players and the manager and Gattuso and his backroom staff, it was just too much.

And it's something that they've just got to get over and it's a hurdle that they've got to cross and they've got to get over it.

Otherwise, it's going to be four and otherwise it's going to be another Euros.

So something has to happen and something has to change.

I think in an ideal world with better form, they should be looking to be in that middle bracket.

But when you look at the team that's just above them, Sweden, I mean, they've got Jokkares, they've got Anthony Alanga, they've got Alexander Isak.

So you look at what the national side of America have got to play with, with all due respect, I think that's it.

It is where they are, but I think, you know, with a decent World Cup behind them and with form and home fans, as Lewis said, they can try and break into that middle bracket.

But I've got no confidence in them.

Not that I've seen a million USA games, but I've seen a lot of the other sides that are in the first bracket, second bracket, and Scotland being a few places away from them, I think.
