If you can get a stopwatch in, I would bring a stopwatch in that doesn't make noise and like stick to your timings, because if you spend 10 minutes extra on one question, you might go up three or four marks, but you've taken half the time away from another question.
So it's not worth the risk.

But from my own experience in marking state exams, like on Trail is the most popular choice question.

I say when you, paper one, most of the marks get lost in the essay.
I say, write your paragraph, stop, take a breather, read over the work there and then, because at the end of the exam, even with the best will in the world, you're not going to read over your work properly.
