When my dad sees me interact, I mean, he's in aged care now.
He's not seeing me on the street, so to speak.
But he sees me with the people in the aged care.
It doesn't matter what I've done.
He's proud of stuff that I've done, don't get me wrong, but when he sees someone stop me on the street and I talk to them and have a photo with them, he has always said something to the effect of, if not almost identical, that's what matters.
My brother on the other side of that coin, he'll meet a crew member or a cast member or someone that's worked with me and he says that they so often, oh, I've worked with your brother, he's so nice, and he says...
what did he do for you?
And they go, what do you mean?
He goes, did he buy something or lend you some money?
And they go, no, he was just really nice.
And he goes, yes, so he should be.
It's called manners.
So even in our family, you can't get it โ you're not allowed to keep the tip.
From a compliment?
It's like, no, no, you don't get to tip me on that.
No, no, that's the expectation.
That's how poor they were.
That was how poor they were.
So my family came from carnival.
We're inherently โ inherently we're going to end up in entertainment, I think.
