He thought it was amazing and all of his gags, so many of his gags, you know, anyone that had more than three teeth in that town was a tourist and he said, you know, he was so poor growing up at school he couldn't even afford to pay attention.
At one point he said, I think we were sponsored by a family in Peru.
He reckons their photo was on someone else's fridge.
So he, like all of that, so in my mind, the concept of being poor and working class just sounded fantastic.
That's how he pitched it.
The other thing was mates would want to drop around and see my dad before we went out.
And nothing happened in my head when they asked for that.
Then over time I realised at no point in my life was I going, before we go out, can we drop into your parents' place?
So the point I realised my emotional bank account was chockers was with humour that I went, oh, they're coming to my house or where my parents are or what I'm around, the humans around me.
To fill themselves with joy and then they leave and I assume that wears off with whatever's going on in their house.
And they come back to fuel up here.
Imagine if every house was a bowser.
