He's won multiple cups.
He's an excellent scout.
He's going to be looking at that scenario too.
So I would not be shocked that they had Stenberg at the top of the list in that respect as well.
If you look at the type of players that Dallas drafts and the type of players that Detroit had drafted while he was there.
Well, I mean, based on what's happened in this draft lottery, the only team I can see try to push their way up might be St.
Louis because they have 11 and 15.
That makes the most sense in that respect.
But everybody else, you know, I know people like to say we're going to take best player available, but that's not only the case.
So if you walk through this draft, if Toronto takes Stenberg and San Jose takes the defense when, say, it's Chase Reed,
Vancouver is sitting there.
They can take a defenseman or McKenna, and ideally for them, based on their location, and he's a Western Canadian kid, and he's a high-level offensive producer, they take McKenna at three.
In Chicago, they need a defenseman.
Rangers, they need a centerman.
That's probably Mahotra.
Calgary needs a D. Seattle needs a D. So all of a sudden, you're down to number eight at Winnipeg, and four of the top four D are already gone.
So unless Vancouver doesn't want Stenberg at three, then do you want to trade down a couple spots and get what?
I mean, honestly, an extra pick?
I mean, it really depends.
So you're playing with Chicago there.
