And that obviously comes out.

And that led to other things like a toy show, the musical, payments of pensions to people who weren't entitled to them, and a litany of problems within RT, which dated back to 1961.

Some of them were, but some of them were asleep at the wheel.

I mean, the point about, one of the main points of the book which I've made, and it's a conclusion which is no secret, is that the board got away.

The board got away.

The board were the people who were responsible for the ethics and the finances of

of RTE and the accountability of RTE.

And when all this broke, not one single member of the board actually resigned as a result of the outbreak of these scandals, whereas other people did.

They've been cleaned out since.

They've gone since, certainly.

They've gone kind of subtly.

Some of them disappeared for health reasons, business reasons.

Very.

I mean, Lamasse said it was going to be basically a voice of the government.

He didn't use that expression, but that's what he regarded it as.

And he appointed political appointees, which were mainly Fianna Fáil.

He gave a secure Fianna Fáil majority on it.

And that continued for quite a long time.

Yeah, he's Ryan Tuberty's grandfather.

And they have a lot of relations within RT, many of whom you know from your time there.
