No, I wasn't aware of any of it, no.

I literally just woke up in hospital one day and I had no leg.

It's just like a start in new life, you know.

I don't even remember Christmas, to be honest.

Like, I just, it's like, I don't know.

I can't remember how far back I remember, to be honest.

Like, I just remember the things I used to be doing, going to work and all.

Like, my normal life routine.

But there's certain, like, memories that I, like, clear memories that I should be able to remember that I don't really remember, you know.

So what happened was like, I just like woke up in ICU and I still obviously must have had a few machines sedating me.

So I can't really remember this now, but

it must have been like I'd say the second or the third night I was in there and I got down this thing where I was wiggling side to side I knew something felt off but I couldn't really figure out what it was so I was wiggling side to side it must have been I couldn't feel my left foot at the end of the bed or something but

I was asleep one night and I couldn't sleep all night.

I'd say I'd get an hour's sleep at the end of the night.

And then a nurse came in to me and she was like, so why can't you sleep?

Are you experiencing any phantom pain?

And I kind of questioned her.

I was like, phantom pain?

And I was looking down at my fingers and my hands and I was like, sure, I still have everything.

And then I pulled up the blanket then just to check and I seen I had no leg.
