And we got, I just was curious about, you know, what the operations were like.
And I ended up saying, you know, well, how many casualties did you take as battalion commander?
And he got choked up.
And I was sitting there watching him get choked up.
And I was like, oh, this is 50 years ago.
And he's getting choked up thinking about his guys.
And that was a moment for me that I realized, that's OK.
And I think we've been told that there's something wrong with us, but there's not.
Like, you get sad when you think about your friends?
It's OK.
You get a tear in your eye when you hear the national anthem?
It's all right, man.
and you sometimes spend a little too much time thinking about something that you went through, it's okay.
And I think it's important for us, our generation of veterans, to recognize you went through some tough stuff.
Think about it sometimes.
It's hard.
And that's okay, man.
