They're forechecking better.
It's all things that are improvements from last year.
But at the end of the day, this team was always going to be somewhat shorthanded offensively because...
you know, sometimes you can take it to the limits of your roster, right?
And you look at how many guys are legitimate goal scorers here.
You have Artemi Panera and you have JT Miller.
Those are both two reliable players.
Mika Zibanejad hasn't been that goal scoring threat over the last couple of seasons.
I think he's already showing, you know, positive signs.
He's shooting the puck more at five on five.
He's getting to the quality areas more.
And I think the goal scoring will come.
And then you go to guys like Will Cooley and Alexi Lafreniere and you're like, OK, solid supporting cast.
But below that, the bottom six doesn't have much scoring talent.
So already you were going to be in this position if you're the Rangers, but with Vincent Churchak injured, it just feels more strained.
And now it just kind of feels like they're cursed.
And I think that's, it's that much harder to break through when there's so much attention on them to score goals, right?
Because now everybody's talking about it.
So they definitely are getting their chances and it's only a matter of time before they score.
But at the end of the day, I don't think this was ever going to be the most high octane offensive team, regardless, just based on how the roster is constructed.
