And then, you know, that doesn't even get into the finances of even this existing contract that he's on.
That certainly will, I'd imagine, be called into question a little bit if he's suspended.
You know, the status right now is that he is allegedly under investigation by multiple different states for gambling offenses.
Now, that doesn't mean, you know, that they're going to be hugely criminal or that, you know, he'd get in serious legal trouble.
But it does mean that there are multiple states that do believe to have reason to believe that he gambled in those states.
And again, the most critical of the alleged gambling offenses is the one where he allegedly bet on Indiana games while he was redshirting at Indiana.
If he were to have been found to do that, then his college career is over.
There's really almost no way to get around that unless they can somehow get it thrown out by investigators.
But that's the biggest domino.
If he was found only to gamble on NFL games or other college football games,
He might lose 30% to 50% on the season, depending on what the offenses are.
If he did gamble on his own games, then it's over.
So, you know, he retained Jeffrey Kessler as his attorney, who was probably the single most high-powered attorney in college athletics.
He's the guy who settled the House v. NCAA case.
He was involved with the Alston case, with the O'Bannon case.
So, I mean, the fact that he is involved makes you think that they feel like, you know what, maybe we can โ
even if it's just on the technicality, find a way around this.
But, you know, for me, like, again, based on what we've heard, based on how definitive the data seems to be, I would be pretty surprised if he ends up playing college football this fall.
Yeah, so of course, this is the first year that there is no post-spring transfer window.
That's obviously a big deal for this program that they can't go out and get another Division I quarterback.
