Something pleasant comes, that pleasantness will disappear.
Something unpleasant arises, that unpleasantness will also disappear.
One thought arise, that thought will disappear.
Many thoughts arise, many thoughts will disappear.
As long as you don't lose the proper perspective.
It doesn't matter which of those five comes.
You just need to remember the starting point.
And this is why I appreciate so much this very, very direct way of what Zen is known for.
This is exactly why at some point Zen teaching was, let's say, developed.
Because many other Buddhist traditions...
The five this, the four this, the eight this, the 36 this, the 108 this, the 12 this.
So you learn.
You learn and intellectualize things.
Nothing.
Nothing.
That's it.
This is what to keep.
This is again where I feel like the idea of staying more with yourself helps, which at least from the way of how I try to share is being done.
Deal with your body.
Do something with the body.
