Why use an opener for Eric Lauer?

I've run the numbers.

Don't get the logic bad for both him and Fisher.

I mean, look, I didn't hate using the opener for Lauer after the illness made him really look not just mortal, but...

completely abnormal for even a guy we had seen prior to the flu looked pretty good in game one of this season.

So I didn't, I personally didn't have a huge issue with the opener.

And generally speaking, I think it did work as we just said to, to limit, uh, Lowers, uh, Lowers looks at some of the better hitters in the, um, the diamondbacks lineup.

So I don't have a huge issue with that.

The second point I wanted to get you though, because it's on Vladimir Guerrero jr.

And Matt saying, Vlad needs some blame.

He needs to get going.

It's fine to have ruts and bad cycles.

He's laughing about a poor ground ball average stroke.

He's been arguably the least valuable player on his team all season.

I don't know if I would say that truthfully.

He's acting like a guy that doesn't care because he got paid.
