And I think based on the results tonight, that thinking was probably right.

Barrios is back.

When Bieber is back, it does feel like at least two of those three, Savage and Barrios, feels like they were going to return sooner rather than later.

But when you can go to Gosman, Cease, two dependable starters, and then those three, that's not a terrible rotation.

And yeah, based on the last 12 months, Lauer seems pretty easily suited to moving to the bullpen.

I wonder what would become of the Scherzers of the world or even Patrick Corbin.
