And now I'm trying to act as if everything is okay to my team.
So it's like, okay, these expectations have to manage how they see me still perform really well.
And on top of that, I have to look like I have it all together.
And it's just layering another thing I have to try to manage.
on top of everything, which I found exhausting from personal experience.
But do you think that's also the case that like, maybe it's also adding to distress that leaders might be feeling?
And what perspective did you hold before you wrote your book and after I wrote your book that had shifted?
And that's something you said, something that's very powerful in terms of when you tell them that you don't have to act or when I'm with you, you can just be yourself.

But one of the things that stuck out is, is it possible that some leaders and maybe even some employees are just not aware that they're actually putting on a mask?
Oh, it made me think of, I guess, what's the difference between a high achiever and an over performer?
Yeah.
uncontrollable burnout or resentment or other things that you didn't intend and do you think the idea about us always looking for the next thing it almost feels like normal today because it's like we want to get the job and then now we want to get a promotion and now want to have a family now a better house so is there a healthy version of that

And in terms of the belief systems you hold, and I'm going back to the workplaces, what do you think, what belief system needs to shift in the workplace that we currently have that will allow us to build more healthier work environments?

And where do you see the biggest resistance to that conversation being?
So mental health in the workplace, whether from the employee or from the leaders?
