Sometimes I like indulge myself and my husband and I will go look at a really nice property.

And more than once we've like been like, oh, should we just do this and just continue to work hard and like just, you know, keep going.

And I guess it's just a choice.

You know, you can have a beautiful home and that's going to be such a fun life, but you have to keep working.

And in my case, my value was let's just prioritize having the freedom of time.

And I'm okay with it.

I mean, I obviously still want a nice home.

It'd be nice to be retired at 29 and live in Takpuna.

But, you know, maybe that's something that happens down the track if my investments grow up.

And it's also really hard because the common way of thinking is that, and my own family have been like, oh, now you're married.

Are you going to move out of this tiny little home?

Are you going to get something nicer?

Both of you, you both work.

My husband's in finance.

I own friends that invest.

Why not upgrade?

And I've had to explain to them, we could upgrade, but

That's just not what my goal is.

My goal was to reach that fire number.
