My goal was to retire.
And when we looked at these like really nice homes, we saw this beautiful house, our dream house.
I still sometimes think about it, but it was $2.8 million.
And we looked at the math and it was close to the beach.
It was walking distance to Hakopuna Beach.
I called up my dad and I said, what do I do?
And he goes, would it be better...
to drive seven minutes to the beach if it could save you millions of dollars in the long run.
And I was like, well, that's pretty good advice.
I actually don't know.
I feel like it's kind of hard.
Everything I've wanted to do, like I've always wanted to write a book.
I've always wanted to have a podcast and like help people learn how to invest.
I feel like I've achieved a lot of those maybe outward goals, the goals that you kind of like vanity metric goals, I would maybe call them.
And so I think, you know, when you like see people that sell their business and they're those like tech bros and then, and then they suddenly get really jacked and you're like, why are they obsessed with working out?
And I think that's all that's left after you like achieve your financial goals.
You just want to be happy and healthy and spend time with your family as boring as that sounds.
But yeah, I kind of wish I hadn't done everything so quickly because now I have 60 years to play tennis and it's, oh God.
I think that's exactly what you've covered.
