We're going to get a new running back in the next year.
It won't be ninth overall, but we'll be able to address more talent on the offensive side of the year.
Did they want a better tackle?
Did they want Fano or Marinoa?
And we've seen those moves happen, and we've been going, that's what that's all about.
You know, we're throwing numbers at the problem for two years.
Veach's comments about Delaney, it's interesting because when he said that, we kind of targeted him early.
It was kind of like that's why it was important to go up and get him.
But that's an interesting...
Flip side of that that you bring up, did they commit to it too early to the point where we'll pay anything?
That can be a reason to validate the move, but it can also be a reason to question, were you so married to this guy that you decided we have to get him, we'll do anything to do it?
I mean, otherwise... And more so than if they had just had the sixth pick.
Because what had to be sold to get to that spot is considerable.
We kind of noted the day after, if the Chiefs had done the opposite trade, if they'd done what the Browns did, if they were sitting there at six and they traded back to nine and picked up 74 and 148, you'd be like, wow, that's a nice move.
Still got a top 10 pick and picked up a third and a fifth.
So that clearly is a lot to pay.
So he has to be even better than a sixth overall pick would normally be.
I'm intrigued by Jahan Dotson.
