I love to make people proud.
Yeah, so I was in the park at the back of the house.
I was never allowed down there, so even though I was in foster care and everything was structured, it was quite strict.
I wasn't aware of sleepovers and that, and I wasn't aware of that, so that was from social services, you know, and my protection.
But all my friends were going to the park at the back of the house, so I followed them, and then...
I've got this man, he come and tapped me on my shoulder and I just looked up and I just remember this spike here and obviously he was a lot taller than me and I was just like looking up and I thought, stranger danger, do you know, like... And he went, do you know where I am, Lulu?
And I was like... He went, I'm your dad.
I was like...
And in my head I thought, my dad's at home.
Because I knew my foster mum and dad as my mum and dad.
And I just ran out of the park thinking this mum was trying to take me.
Yeah, I just ran home crying thinking something happened to my dad.
Because me and my foster dad, you know, just run through the door like crying.
They just started locking the doors and the windows up.
Like, as though there was some immediate danger, but at the time, I couldn't work it out.
And then I just went and hid in my wardrobe, because that's what I used to do.
But nothing really got said about it.
But every time after that, I walked into a room, I remember it just didn't feel like the same atmosphere.
It just felt like something had gone, but obviously I was only seven, so I couldn't actually understand or work out why or what had changed.
Definitely.
