I used to be, but I've slowed down a lot.
No, it's like just me.
Like I can't get the words out that I used to.
I think I'm just tired.
And I think also, you know, when you are creating fantasy worlds, things just take a lot longer.
There's a lot more world building and you have to check so many more details as you're writing.
Um, so I've just kind of accepted that the output when I was fresh and new and enthusiastic about life, it's not, it's not there anymore.
Yeah.
Because I've got two series before that too.
I've got Deals with Demons, Bargains with Beasts, which is urban fantasy romance.
And so we pay editors, right?
So we pay developmental editors and copy editors and proofreaders and all of that.
So that's one good thing.
I'm very used to hitting deadlines and making sure because β
you've got editors booked up and ready for you, right?
I enjoy β the hardest part for me, I would say, is the first round of developing to edits because the way that my brain works, like when I've got to, like, remove plots or move timelines, it feels very β
like overwhelming.
So often I'll print the manuscript out and then I need to kind of rearrange things.
Yeah.
And sort of, yeah, like, so that's been kind of challenging while I'm on the road.
