But it's after that, those first couple of rounds and when it starts shaping, you can see a really like, oh, it's becoming a book.
That's the exciting part for me.
Oh, man, that is so tough.
I know.
Right.
I mean, there are a few that stick out to me.
Like, I really enjoyed, like, book one in Kingdom of Lies when Lorian leaves Prisca for dead and she β
is obviously mad she's so mad yeah she's so mad for so long yeah understandably yeah and so when she's trying to like steal his shit you know and um and he wakes up and and that kind of bargain that was really fun um and I really like I love a fight scene I love writing fight scenes um they're very complicated but um I feel like they can move the plot in fun ways as well right what's the art behind writing a good fight scene
I think, like, so quite often I'll be kind of sketching and, like, figuring out where people's hands are and, like, arms.
Do you know what I mean?
It's almost like a sex scene.
So, like, one of my friends has a couple of, like, Barbie dolls, like the ones that move.
Oh, dear God.
And so because she's going to be like, oh, like, where, oh, he's got three hands, like, the way that I've written it.
Do you know what I mean?
So she has to be able to, like, visualise it.
And I feel like fight scenes can kind of be similar.
But I feel like with fight scenes it's,
you know, no one gets punched in the face and then just shakes it off, really, right?
Like it's got to feel realistic, which I like.
