Understandably.
Sure, yeah.
It was a little different.
Yeah, and so there were times where I was like, oh, dang.
But no one ever made me even question that I was there.
Yeah, I just felt like I belonged, which was so lucky.
I had a woman on who is really involved in like the trans athlete space.
And we were talking about how boys and girls are playing together on teams more often now.
And she was saying that her children were playing on a team with
It was coed.
Yeah.
And she was like, the boys are learning so much by having a girl on their team because they're learning like, oh, you can be just as good as like the formative experience for everyone involved in a situation like that is so major.
And so it's just like such a shame to even.
right and like it needs to happen yeah like watching my niece play flag football this past summer she was the fastest one there she was the tallest one there were the boys passing it to her no and like when they did good things happened and I was like it's because we've already established that like a girl can't play football and so we're just not gonna pay attention to them and it's like it's a co-ed like the this NFL initiative is co-ed it's for all the kids but like you catch them too late like it's just so hard to override that conditioning yeah like especially before puberty like I'm so
sorry the girls are cooking completely yeah so did you ever have any tension in that way or when you went to the high school was there so when I got to middle high school I started playing all year round yeah that and soccer all year round so very busy
And I played on this one summer team with no one that I knew.
And it was, I had tried out for it.
So I'd made it on merit.
Like I was so happy, so excited.
I got all this new gear.
