She was the first black woman to pitch in the Negro Leagues.
And she's literally on the mound and batter comes up and he's like, I know you can't strike me out.
You're no bigger than a peanut.
And that's literally that's how she got her nickname, like enduring.
And like I read her little like young adult autobiography or whatever.
And I was like, oh, my God, who's this girl?
I'm going to be her.
Iconic.
Yeah.
Like I'm going to be the Tony Stone of the MLB.
Whatever.
So at the same time, there are all these women who are playing with men, not even just in the All-American League.
And so they were a huge source of inspiration, them and Jackie Robinson, obviously.
Yeah.
The league folds.
And it's not until like the 90s.
There were a couple of women's teams that would play matches against like minor league men's teams.
Okay.
And so there's like this whole generation of they're now coaches in the USA system who got to play professionally.
So cool.
