And over the years, I've had other celebrities as well.
I've been to press conferences and seen Seth Rogen and Will Smith obviously promoting various projects coming through Sony Studios.
But they were the stars of the show.
Now, in my opinion โ now, this is my opinion โ
They seem to have sort of โ they've backed off a little bit.
They've sort of โ the announcements and intensity of their range really has sort of gone a little bit off the radar.
I'm not sure whether it's because their press releases ended up in my junk folder.
But I wasn't really hearing much about what Sony were doing.
They did go through a period where they were producing, and I think still do, producing just OLED TVs, and those panels were produced by LG, and then Sony put their brains behind the TVs as well.
But they were pretty โ they were a bit โ
Backward in coming forward when it came to promoting their ranges of TVs, put it this way, they weren't as aggressive as Hisense, Samsung and LG in telling me and other journalists about their TV, their Bravia range, where I can remember Bravia and Sony TVs used to be
the absolute cream of the crop when it came to producing great picture quality and producing remarkable innovation to improve that even further, not only picture quality but audio quality, the whole bit.
We all know Sony's audio credentials, it goes without saying that they've got some pretty good technology there.
I think we reviewed the Sony earphones last week.
But in terms of their TVs, I'm really happy to see
that they've really come out of their shell, if you like.
They haven't been shouting too much from the rooftops, but now they've come forward and said, here we go.
We are announcing our own version of RGB, and theirs is called True RGB.
I really like that name.
So you've got Samsung's micro RGB, Hisense's RGB mini LED, LG had micro RGB EVO, but Sony have come forward with true RGB.
