Frankly, I wasn't expecting this kind of a mobilization, extensive mobilization in Istanbul and across the country. So that's quite surprising to me because I thought, and probably ErdoΔan did too, that he already established some sense of understanding that his was a repressive regime and he thought he intimidated people into submission and he thought he succeeded. Clearly he did not.
